BEFORE YOU SLEEP

BEFORE YOU SLEEP.

Psalms 138:8 says and I quote “The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy O LORD endureth forever: Forsake not the works of thine own hands.” Beloved, our God is a merciful God. Tonight He is working miracles just for you. He shall cause everything to work in your favor. He shall bless the works of your hands and make you fruitful and successful in all that you do. May God cause you to flourish even in difficult times. May He bless the works of your hands, enlarge your territory and make you forever unstoppable In Jesus’ Name.

GOOD NIGHT BELOVED!!! JESUS LOVES YOU.

Today’s devotion

Today’s Devotion-22nd July 2020
Topic: FEAR NOT-Pt 2
Can we overcome fear? Yes, that is, if we totally leave everything in the hands of God. Consider what God has done, and His promises. If God be for us, who can be against us? Certainly no one. We should always overcome fear by trusting God and allowing His will to be done in our lives. His will is perfect.
Memory verse: Deuteronomy 3:22 KJV, Ye shall not fear them: for the Lord your God he shall fight for you.

RELATED ACTIVE STORY
Full scripture: Joshua 10:7-8,25 KJV, So Joshua ascended from Gilgal, he, and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valour. [8] And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee. [25] And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the Lord do to all your enemies against whom ye fight… Hallelujah!!!

LESSONS

  1. This is the word of the Lord through Moses, “Ye shall not fear them: for the Lord your God he shall fight for you.” Surely He does.
  2. Again, “the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand.” May the Lord destroy all wicked and ungodly people pursuing our lives in Jesus’ name.
  3. That says the Lord through Joshua, “Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage.” We declare, all would work together for our good in the name of Jesus.

Today’s Quote: Overcome fear by trusting in the Lord’s unfailing promises. NB: A short prayer with the lessons. Main Prayer: We pray that fear would never take us too far, in believing the lies of Satan, as a family and nation in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Singing: 🎹 Is the same God who was there for you in the midnight hour… God bless you-Amen & amen.

This story touched me a lot

This story touched me a lot, and I want to share it with you.

The theme was: HOLD ON TO CHRIST:

A Pastor was ministering in a remote area where he had to trek each Sunday for 4 hours through thick forest, and to make it on time, he had to start travelling on foot from 4:00 am.

One Sunday morning, as the Pastor was in the midst of the forest, thunder announced rains. He knelt down and prayed to God to hold the rains back until he reached the parish and to protect his pastoral vestments, his Bible and communion. But after prayer, the rains started pouring heavily. He reached the parish badly soacked by the rains. He preached but with discouragement because to him, God had not answered his prayers.

Back home, he could not even eat. He was contemplating whether to resign or continue because he could no longer serve a God who does not answer prayers. He believed his prayers were not effective and did not match his preaching.

While he was reflecting on the decision to take, three young men entered his home and said to him: “Pastor, we came to testify and assure u that you should continue serving your God for He is a living God.”

The pastor changed his attitude and was eager to know more. They showed him money and told him they’d been paid to kill him because his prayers and preachings were disturbing the witches, wizards, sorcerers and occultists in this community.

That they were in the forest waiting for him to shoot him when from nowhere and in the midst of the dry season, heavy rains started pouring and wet the gun powder they were to use. They were shocked by this event. They were holding guns in their hands as they watched the pastor pass them with no power to accomplish their awful mission.

After hearing this, the Pastor knelt down, thanked God and committed to serve Him for the rest of his life and said, he has a God that will never fail him.

Do you have a God that always answers your prayers the way you want?

Draw your own lesson. The truth is: GOD ANSWERS PRAYER.

Be blessed and Hold on to Christ. Share this if you were touched and inspired like I just did.

Shalom..!!
